International Meeting to Strengthen Healthcare Systems in Mándok
On 14–15 May 2026, as part of the PROTECT project, a two-day international working meeting was held in Mándok at the Forgách Castle, with the support of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary–Slovakia–Romania–Ukraine Programme.
The aim of the event was to enhance epidemic preparedness, strengthen the responsiveness of healthcare systems, and deepen international partnerships. All countries participating in the project – Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, and Hungary – were represented at the event, where experts held productive professional discussions on shared challenges, experiences, and future opportunities for cooperation.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to long-term partnership and laid the foundations for further joint work.
The PROTECT project continues to place special emphasis on monitoring infectious diseases, improving laboratory diagnostic capacities, and strengthening cross-border professional cooperation.
The project is implemented within the framework of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2021–2027 Programme, in partnership with the Planetrise Cultural and Environmental Association.
