In April 2017, two members of our Association, Péter Gergő Juhász and Csaba Szeremley, visited the island of Jersey. The main purpose of the trip was to establish personal contact with the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Christmas Cavalcade with the Happiness Club
This year, we once again took part in the Christmas Market in Kisvárda. This time, together with the Happiness Club, we handed out soft drinks, savoury scones, and cakes to passers-by.
As part of the project entitled "Know Where You Live!", we organised a series of 10 lectures for students of the Bessenyei György High School. The presentations provided detailed reports and educational insights into the cultural and natural heritage of Kisvárda.
As the end of the year approached, we carried out some work around the Vár-tó (Castle Lake) in Kisvárda. We replaced the previously installed paper-based information boards along the educational trail with weather-resistant metal boards.
Our Tree Planting Project Begins in Malawi
As part of our collaboration with the Jacaranda Foundation, the Planetrise Association has started a tree planting project in Malawi. Throughout the country, and especially in the southern regions, excessive deforestation is causing increasing problems.
Exhibition: The History of Cycling
As part of the European Mobility Week, the exhibition titled The History of Cycling is on display at the Rétközi Museum in Kisvárda until December 1, 2016.
Visit to Child Legacy, Malawi
During their trip to Malawi, members of our association visited the local project of Child Legacy. The project is in need of volunteers, whom we can send through our organization. We are primarily looking for doctors and professionals who are interested in engaging in agricultural activities.
The Planetrise Association participated in the LESZ Festival held for the second time in Kisvárda this year.
At the XXVIII. Hungarian Theatres Festival in Kisvárda, our association became the mentor for the Timișoara theatre troupe, who performed the famous musical Hair.
Our association has entered into a strategic partnership with the Jacaranda Foundation in Malawi. The foundation operates a primary and secondary school in Malawi, where over four hundred AIDS orphans can attend for free. 98% of the children have lost their parents to AIDS, and many of them are HIV positive.
Program Series: Fight Against Poverty
Throughout the history of humanity, poverty has always been present, but in recent times, it has perhaps become more widespread and is increasingly manifesting in more extreme forms. It appears as vast social disparities and is an increasingly frequent occurrence, with rapid impoverishment happening in various contexts.
