Visit of Ethiopian Chief Medical Officer to the Cities of Nyíregyháza and Pécs

Dr. Kassaye Ashine Kibret, an Ethiopian ENT specialist, arrived in Hungary on May 18 for an official professional visit, organized and supported by our Association and the Embassy of Ethiopia in Hungary.

Dr. Kassaye is the Head of the ENT Department at Yekatit 12 Hospital Medical College in Addis Ababa. His visit to Hungary aims to study the functioning of the Hungarian healthcare system and engage in professional exchanges with local institutions. 

As part of his visit, Dr. Kassaye is spending one week at the Jósa András Teaching Hospital in Nyíregyháza with Chief Physician Dr. István Bartku, and is currently on a professional visit at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Clinical Center at the University of Pécs, hosted by Dr. István Szanyi and his colleagues.Dr. Kassaye's visit follows a medical mission to Ethiopia in May 2023, during which volunteer specialists from both the Jósa András Teaching Hospital in Nyíregyháza and the Clinical Center of the University of Pécs participated.
