Hungarian Culture Day
Since 1989, January 22nd has been celebrated as Hungarian Culture Day, commemorating the day when Ferenc Kölcsey finalized the manuscript of the Hungarian national anthem, Himnusz, in Szatmárcseke in 1823. Traditional Village Day in Szatmár
The traditional village day titled "In Pendely – Gatya – Szoknya – Szatmár!" was held in Géberjén for the fifth time. Our Association also participated in the event and during the cooking program we made oyster mushroom stew with pasta. The day passed in a good mood, which was coloured by other programs and concerts.
