This year, we once again took part in the Christmas Market in Kisvárda. This time, together with the Happiness Club, we handed out soft drinks, savoury scones, and cakes to passers-by.

As the end of the year approached, we carried out some work around the Vár-tó (Castle Lake) in Kisvárda. We replaced the previously installed paper-based information boards along the educational trail with weather-resistant metal boards.

As part of our collaboration with the Jacaranda Foundation, the Planetrise Association has started a tree planting project in Malawi. Throughout the country, and especially in the southern regions, excessive deforestation is causing increasing problems.

As part of the European Mobility Week, the exhibition titled The History of Cycling is on display at the Rétközi Museum in Kisvárda until December 1, 2016.

During their trip to Malawi, members of our association visited the local project of Child Legacy. The project is in need of volunteers, whom we can send through our organization. We are primarily looking for doctors and professionals who are interested in engaging in agricultural activities.

Our association has entered into a strategic partnership with the Jacaranda Foundation in Malawi. The foundation operates a primary and secondary school in Malawi, where over four hundred AIDS orphans can attend for free. 98% of the children have lost their parents to AIDS, and many of them are HIV positive.

Throughout the history of humanity, poverty has always been present, but in recent times, it has perhaps become more widespread and is increasingly manifesting in more extreme forms. It appears as vast social disparities and is an increasingly frequent occurrence, with rapid impoverishment happening in various contexts.
